Every year, we assemble teams to participate in First Lego League competitions. We have previously participated and achieved high rankings in the 2023, 2024, and 2025 "Challenge Division", the highest in this section of the league. The previous themes include Art ("Masterpiece"), Underwater Submersibles ("Submerged"), and Archaeology ("Unearthed"). Students are expected to blend solving real-world problems with accomplishing Lego robotic missions under time pressure and within the designated area.
We will be looking to add one division for younger students in First Lego League Explore for the 2026-2027 season. The competitive team's training will start in August. Before the competition, there will be opportunities for our team to join scrimmages, depending on the schedule. The competition in Connecticut is likely to be held from November to December.

Program sign-up is by invitation only. If you are interested in joining our team, we encourage you to sign up for a free evaluation. We will get in touch with you shortly.
What's New with Team Robo Jragon
Although our FLL robotics team, "Robo Jragon", chose not to compete in NYC and focused on CT's event this year, we are still connected with the NYC FLL community. Today, Coach Gong, who is also the co-founder of Jragon Academy, served as a judge in the highly anticipated New York City First Lego League (FLL) 2026 Championship Finals for the "Unearthed" season. The event was held at Gotham Tech High School.
The competing teams showed creativity and solid robotic skills in the Innovation Project section. Their innovative solutions to real-world problems ranged from using a robotic rover to aid archaeological exploration to a biological and chemical combination to preserve artifacts. They dared to imagine a better future fueled by technological advancements and compassion for the world. The top teams have advanced to FLL World, WPI Open, and other major open competition events to be held in the coming months.
Congratulations to all the teams for their great efforts and learning outcomes!
