A legal disclaimer

By registering your child (the "Participant") for the Jragon Robotics, a Youth Robotics After-School Program (the "Program"), you, the parent or legal guardian ("Guardian"), agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

Terms & Conditions - the basics

1. Registration and Enrollment

 

1.1. Eligibility: The Program is open to youth aged 6 to 13 or in Kindergarten through Grade 6.

1.2. Program Fees: Program fees are outlined in the separate Fee Schedule and must be paid in full by the due date specified on the invoice. Failure to pay on time may result in the Participant's enrollment being cancelled.

1.3. Confirmation: Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of the completed registration form, signed waiver, and full payment of the Program fees.

1.4. Program Duration: The Program duration is specified upon sign-up in the program description.

2. Payments and Refunds
 

2.1. Payment Methods: We accept payment via PayPal.
2.2. Refund Policy:

* Cancellation by Guardian:

* If cancelled 7 days or more before the Program start date, a full refund less a 10% administrative fee will be issued.

* If cancelled 6 to 1 days before the Program start date, a 40% refund will be issued (after a 10% administrative fees subtracted).

* No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 1 day before the Program start date or after the Program has started.

* Cancellation by Program: If the Program is cancelled entirely by Jragon Robotics (e.g., due to unexpected reasons or Force Majeure), a full refund will be issued.
2.3. Absences: No refunds or credits will be given for Participant absences, late arrivals, or early departures.

3. Participant Conduct and Safety

3.1. Code of Conduct: Participants must adhere to a respectful and inclusive Code of Conduct, including: * Respecting instructors, staff, and fellow participants. * Handling all robotics equipment and materials with care. * Following all safety instructions immediately and completely. * Engaging in cooperative teamwork.

3.2. Discipline: [Your Program Name] reserves the right to dismiss a Participant from the Program without a refund if their behavior is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or violates the Code of Conduct. The Guardian will be notified and responsible for immediate pick-up.

3.3. Late Pick-Up: A late pick-up fee of $10 per 15 minutes will be charged starting 5 minutes after the scheduled end time ([End Time]). Repeated late pick-ups may result in dismissal from the Program.

4. Equipment and Materials

4.1. Program Property: All robotics kits, laptops, tablets, and specialized equipment provided for use during the Program remain the property of Jragon Robotics Academy.

4.2. Damage: The Guardian is responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of any equipment damaged, lost, or intentionally broken by the Participant.

4.3. Take-Home Kits (If Applicable): If a take-home kit is provided, the Guardian agrees to ensure its return in full and in good working condition by the date specified by the instructor.

5. Medical and Emergency

5.1. Emergency Contact: The Guardian must ensure that all emergency contact and medical information provided during registration is accurate and up-to-date.

5.2. Authorization to Treat: In the event of an emergency, the Guardian authorizes Jragon Robotics Academy staff to secure and authorize necessary medical treatment for the Participant, including calling 911 or seeking care from a physician or hospital, at the Guardian's expense.

5.3. Allergies and Medication: All allergies and necessary medication instructions must be clearly noted on the registration form. Staff cannot administer prescription medication unless a specific, separate authorization and instruction form is completed and signed.

6. Photo and Video Release (Optional Section)

 

6.1. Consent: An agreement will be provided upon enrollment for photo and video release consent. By signing this agreement, the Guardian grants Jragon Robotics Academy permission to take photographs, videos, or audio recordings of the Participant during Program activities.

6.2. Usage: If granted, these materials may be used for promotional purposes, including, but not limited to, the [Your Program Name] website, social media, brochures, and marketing materials.

6.3. Opt-Out: If consent is granted, the Guardian may revoke this permission at any time by providing written notice to [Program Contact Email/Address]. [Your Program Name] will make reasonable efforts to cease future use of the material.

 

 

7. Limitation of Liability

 

7.1. Assumption of Risk: The Guardian acknowledges that participation in the Program involves certain risks, including the use of electronic and mechanical components. The Guardian voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the Participant's enrollment and participation.

7.2. Indemnity: The Guardian agrees to indemnify and hold harmless [Your Program Name], its employees, agents, and instructors from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action for injury, loss, or death sustained by the Participant arising out of, or related to, the Participant’s enrollment or participation in the Program.

7.3. Scope: This limitation of liability does not apply to damages resulting from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of [Your Program Name] staff.

 

 

8. General Provisions

8.1. Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Connecticut and New York.

8.2. Privacy: Jragon Robotics Academy will handle all personal data in accordance with its separate Privacy Policy, available at

8.3. Modification: Jragon Robotics Academy reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Notice of significant changes will be provided to the Guardian via email.
